Home Sweet Home

In idle moments Doyald drew this poster sampler freehand on tracing paper with a needle-sharp 2H pencil, and worked on it off-and-on for a couple of weeks.

It references embroidered samplers, which were popular in the 19thcentury, and often contained a fanciful Victorian alphabet or a saying. They were framed and hung in the parlor where guests could admire the delicacy and precision of the needlework.
